Correspondence & Matter Coordination

Trusts and estates

Blackridge Group provides administrative support with correspondence and records for trust and estate matters.

This may include organizing documents, keeping track of correspondence with institutions and other parties, and maintaining a clear record of what has been sent and received.

Identifying the matter

When writing, give the name of the trust or estate, your role in it, and the reference number from your correspondence. Do not send full account numbers, Social Security numbers, or copies of identity documents by ordinary email. If documents such as letters of appointment are needed, a verified way to provide them will be arranged for the specific matter.

Records and correspondence

Trust and estate matters often involve communications from financial institutions, service providers, account holders, and other parties. Blackridge Group helps organize the relevant records and correspondence so that each request can be connected to the correct trust or estate.

Useful information includes the name of the trust or estate, the institution or account involved, the date of the correspondence, and a short explanation of the issue. Where several matters are involved, separate them by account or reference number.

Preparing a submission

  • Identify the trust or estate and the person responsible for it.
  • State your relationship to the matter and your reason for writing.
  • Describe the record, account entry, or communication requiring attention.
  • Identify relevant dates and any stated response deadline.
  • Provide only the supporting material relevant to that request.

Maintaining a consistent record

Keep copies of correspondence and identify any earlier submission when sending additional material. Questions that require a decision should be clearly distinguished from documents supplied for the record. Information about Blackridge Group's role appears on the About & Legal Notices page.
